The ship was built in 1976 under hull number 259 at the Schlömer shipyard in Oldersum as Hanover for the Wangerooge ferry service of the DB. The owner was the Warrings shipping company.
At the end of the 1970s, several test runs were carried out between Harlesiel and Wangerooge. Subsequently, however, it was decided not to use on this line. The ship, on the other hand, was used for the AG Ems as the city of Borkum for butter trips on the Ems between Emden and Delfzijl.
After a sale, the ship sailed between 1988 and 1994 as Princess Isabella in Oulu, Finland.
At the end of 1994 it was sold again to AG Ems and rebuilt the following year.
Since 2005, the ship has operated in the Emden – Knock – Eemshaven – Borkum liner service.
For the 2022 season, the ship was moved to Cuxhaven for the subsidiary Reederei Cassen Eils, where it has been conducting excursion trips ever since. From 2024, it will bear the name Wappen von Cuxhaven, it is the second ship of the shipping company with this name. Source: Wikipedia
